Plant Trees for A Better Tomorrow 1 Room = 1 Tree

The Kuta Beach Heritage hotel has implemented a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program in Nangka Village, Karangasem Regency, Bali by planting 159 tree seedlings for 159 rooms. The theme of this activity is "Plant Trees for A Better Tomorrow 1 Room = 1 Tree". This activity is sustainable as proof that we love nature. In Bali we must apply the Tri Hita Karana system. Tri Hita Karana comes from three words. Tri means three, Hita means prosperity, and Karana means cause. So, Tri Hita Karana means three causes of prosperity. The three causes of prosperity come from harmonious relationships between humans and God, humans and humans, and humans and their environment. People in Bali always uphold the Tri Hita Karana concept by always implementing it in their daily lives. Therefore, we, The Kuta Beach Heritage, implement and implement this activity for prosperit.

TURTLE RELEASE PRESENTATION

Thursday, 27 July 2023 THE KUTA BEACH HERITAGE HOTEL  Managed by Accor Olo Meeting Room  TURTLE RELEASE PRESENTATION      Every turtle can lay 140 eggs at the same time. The eggs will get hatched when they are approximately between 40 and 50 days old. If the eggs are laid in the free nature, only a few will get hatched; however, as the conservation institution, TCEC has successfully been able to make 40-60% of the eggs hatched. Therefore, what has been done by TCEC in Serangan Island is an effective saving activity. In the first semester of 2019 18.060 eggs were laid; however, only 9,646 or 53.41% got successfully hatched (TCEC, 2020). The hatchlings were looked after for 2-5 days before they were freely released and returned to their original habitat, namely the open sea around the Serangan beach. Several hatchlings (maximum 20) were placed in the breeding place prepared by TCEC for research, educational and touristic purposes. The old turtles that are 20 years...

TSUNAMI EVACUATION DRILL

TSUNAMI EVACUATION DRILL While a tsunami triggered by a distant earthquake will take hours to reach our coastline, a tsunami generated by an earthquake on the Cascadia subduction zone can hit shore in under 20 minutes. With so little time, people on the coast cannot wait for official warning systems or guidance, but must recognize natural warning signs and evacuate immediately. This independent response is more likely to happen and be effective if coastal populations have learned their evacuation routes and practiced walking out of the hazard zone. A community-wide tsunami evacuation drill raises awareness and, through practice, improves overall preparedness, while also reinforcing the positive sense of community and cooperation that will make the community more resilient. Moreover, regular drills are an effective means of widely developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence that people will need to evacuate quickly and efficiently during a real event.
